Tonya Wright (1990-93) enjoyed highly decorated collegiate tennis career in four season at Midwestern State both on and off of the court.

The Bedford (Texas) L.D. Bell High School product earned All-Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association second-team honors after her sophomore campaign before earning notable academic honors throughout the remainder of her career.

Wright was a three-time NAIA District 8 Scholar Athlete before gaining All-America Scholar Athlete accolades following her senior campaign of 1993.
