Bobby Rogers played both ways at running back and safety from 1947-50 and was a four-year letterman.

A fearless defender, Rogers led the team in secondary tackles and interceptions in three of his four seasons.

Rogers returned an interception for a touchdown against North Texas in 1950 secured a Gulf Coast Conference championship and was MSU’s lone score to earn a share of the Gulf Coast Conference championship.

Rogers was an All-Gulf Coast Conference selection at halfback in 1950.
