Keith Swanson capped off a brilliant career earning NAIA All-America honorable mention following his senior campaign of 1966-67.

The sharpshooting guard poured in 1,144 points while helping Midwestern to three consecutive NAIA District 8 titles and trips to the second round of the national tournament in Kansas City in 1965, 1966 and 1967.

Swanson connected on 44.7 percent from the field as a sophomore averaging 7.6 points per game before hitting 46 percent from the floor and 13.2 points contests as a junior in 1965-66.

Swanson averaged 15.4 points a game and shot 46.8 percent from the field while earning All-America accolades as a senior in 1966-67.

Dr. Keith Swanson has practiced orthopedic surgery in Lake Tahoe and the Carson Valley in Nevada since 1979 after receiving his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

In 1996, he became one of the founders of the Lake Tahoe Orthopedic Institute and is also a founding member of the Tahoe Sports Medicine Fellowship which continues to train orthopedic surgeons in sports medicine techniques. He currently serves as co-director of the Fellowship.
