Dear Mustang Basketball Supporters,
As we approach the 2026–27 season, I am incredibly excited about the direction of Midwestern State Men’s Basketball and what we are building together. It continues to be a tremendous blessing to lead this program at my alma mater and to be back in Wichita Falls as part of the Mustang family.
With the season quickly approaching, I want to personally invite you to
renew your membership in the 6th Man Club and continue being an important part of Mustang Basketball.
The 6th Man Club represents much more than financial support. It is a community of alumni, former players, families, and passionate Mustang fans who believe in our student-athletes and want to see Mustang Basketball continue to grow. Your support allows us to provide our players with the resources and experience necessary to compete at the highest level while strengthening the connection between our program and the community that makes Midwestern State special.
A Foundational Season
This season represents an exciting new chapter for Mustang Basketball. We have assembled a
young, talented, and hungry roster that has tremendous potential. While our team may lack experience in some areas, we believe strongly in the talent, character, and work ethic of the players we have brought together.
Our goal is to develop this group into a team that plays with the toughness, trust, and togetherness that we believe should define Mustang Basketball.
We also know that building a championship-level program takes time and requires everyone to pull in the same direction.
This is a foundational year for our program, and we want our 6th Man members to be a part of that foundation from the beginning.
Our expectations remain high. We will work every day to put ourselves in position to compete for the
Lone Star Conference championship, advance in the NCAA Division II postseason, and ultimately return Mustang Basketball to the national spotlight.
What is the 6th Man Club?
The 6th Man Club exists to support Mustang Basketball by:
- Strengthening the relationship between our fans and the program.
- Creating a network of alumni, former players, and lifelong Mustang fans.
- Providing fans, alumni, and families with opportunities to stay connected to Mustang Basketball.
- Helping provide the resources necessary to give our student-athletes a first-class experience.
Annual Member Benefits Include:
- Pre-game refreshments, a breakdown with a member of the coaching staff, and halftime statistics at each conference home game.
- Exclusive access to team practices and film sessions.
- A Mustang Basketball Nike collared shirt.
- Monthly email updates directly from Head Coach Jon Trilli.
How You Can Help
Our goal for the 2026–27 season is to raise
$40,000 through the 6th Man Club. These funds will directly support our student-athletes and our basketball program through:
- Recruiting efforts
- Nutrition Station
- Cutting-edge performance analytics
- Team meals during winter break
- Academic support and resources for our players
Every contribution, regardless of size, makes a difference. Your support helps us continue to build a program that our student-athletes, alumni, university, and Wichita Falls community can be proud of.
Our
2026–27 schedule is now set, and we cannot wait to welcome Mustang fans back to D.L. Ligon Coliseum. There is a lot to look forward to, and we want you alongside us for the journey.
