Dear Friends of Mustang Basketball,
The new season is quickly approaching, and I am inviting you to join our special group of fans, the 6th Man Club. This group is instrumental in building the foundation of our program's success, while strengthening the connection of our supporters with the inner workings of the Mustang basketball program. Throughout the season, it is my desire for the team to achieve new levels of academic excellence while also competing on the court to get to the top of the Lone Star Conference. This level of success will be possible without the generous support and growth of the 6th Man Club.
The purpose of the 6th Man Club is to support Mustang Basketball by building connections between fans and the university, and to create a network of former players and friends who have enjoyed the program's success over the years. In addition, it is a way for graduating players to continue their involvement in the program.
The annual benefits of the membership are as follows:
- Refreshments, game statistics, and halftime analysis from a member of the coaching staff at each home game.
- Access to team practices and film sessions.
- Invitations to pre-season scrimmages and open house receptions with the team.
- Mustang basketball Nike shirt or autographed team ball.
- Regular email updates from the head coach.
With the off season behind us, I am very proud of the work that the team has done throughout the spring and summer. Our team leaders have been consistent in pushing each team member to be their best in their training efforts. Given the fact that we have our top five scorers returning and some top-notch recruits, there is a genuine sense of expectation within the program that is being reflected in the work ethic of all team members.
I ask for your support by becoming a member of the 6th Man Club. Our goal is to raise $15,000 which will go towards recruiting, cutting-edge analytics tools, meals for the team during school winter break, team building opportunities, and academic resources for the team. We are striving to reach the top of the NCAA Division II South Central Region while providing a first-class experience for our student-athletes, and these areas are critical to achieve that goal.
