Hall of Honor
Megan Dodson enjoyed the most prolific single season in Midwestern State history adding to the growing winning legacy of women's soccer.

The Wichita Falls Rider High product becomes the fifth member for the program in MSU's Athletic Hall of Honor joining Ressa Morris (1996), April Lasiter (1999), Becky Athey-Sesin (2013) and Liz Sawyer (2015).

The Midwestern State Athletic Hall of Honor represents the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by the MSU Department of Athletics. The accomplishments of those enshrined exemplify the character, spirit, commitment, high level of achievement and reflect the honor, excellence and traditions of the university.

Individuals are recognized for their contributions as student-athletes, coaches, administrators or outstanding advocates of Midwestern State Athletics.

Dodson's magical sophomore campaign of 2003 included three hat tricks as she matched a program record with four goals in a single match for a 5-1 win over Northeastern State (Okla.) late in the season.

She tallied another hat trick on the Redmen less than a week later in the opening round of the Lone Star Conference Championships played at the MSU Soccer Field.

Dodson delivered the game winner in a school record nine of Midwestern's 12 wins that season on her way to a total of 20 goals while handing out five assists. The 20 goals still remain the second most in a campaign for MSU while the 45 points stand as the program record.

She earned All-LSC first-team honors for the second consecutive season following her spectacular sophomore season after gaining the league's top freshman honors netting 12 goals and dishing out five assists in 2002.

Dodson notched six goals and two assists as a junior in 2004, then battled through an injury-plagued senior campaign scoring twice -- both against Northeastern State -- in 13 matches.

She graduated as the program's all-time leader with 15 game winning goals, was third with 93 points, 40 goals and 13 assists.
