Jim Wall's success continued after his basketball career at Midwestern State, holding a distinguishing coaching career. Wall played four seasons for the men's basketball program, helping the team win three conference championships and three NAIA District 8 Championships. Wall earned two all-conference honors in his career, finishing his MSU career with 843 points and 259 rebounds. Wall started a decorated coaching career after his Midwestern State playing career, working at the high school and collegiate level. Wall made coaching stops at Texas Tech, Sam Houston State, and West Texas State, and he won more than 300 games while coaching at Paschal High School. Wall coached more than 75 all-district honorees, more than 25 all-region winners, four all-state athletes, and four All-Americans. Wall garnered more than 700 wins as a head coach and more than 1000 wins in the entirety of his coaching career.
