Amy Estes (1992-93) finished third in the shot put and eighth in the discus at the 1992 NAIA National Meet to earn All-America honors during her junior year after transferring from Oklahoma State. The Azle native claimed Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association titles in the same events and javelin throw in each of the 1992 and 1993 seasons. Estes fought through an injury-plagued senior season to return to nationals in 1993, but finished 12th in the shot put.
