Midwestern State athletics has a rich tradition of success both on the playing field and in the classroom. Listed below are MSU student-athletes who have been selected as Academic All Americans by the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA).

The Academic All-America teams consist of first-, second- and third-teamers. Those scholars are selected from student-athletes who were selected to the academic all-district first team.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.3 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key reserve. Athletes must be a sophomore in academic standing and complete a year of residency at their current institution. The administration and voting for all phases of the academic all-America team process is conducted by members of CoSIDA.
