Bo was a beast for Midwestern State as a senior, burying 106 of his signature triples on his way to averaging 21.1 points per game while leading the Mustangs to 25-7 record, a Lone Star Conference title, and on to the second round of the NCAA Division II South Central Regionals.

Richardson IV became the first MSU men's basketball player to earn first-team All-America honors during the NCAA era as a State Farm Division II All American in 2009. He was also named to the third team by the Division II Bulletin.

The honors capped an incredible and memorable season for the Mustangs, who overcame a sluggish start to rattle off 22 victories over a 24-game stretch to roll to an LSC South Division championship in Jeff Ray's final season at the helm.

Richardson IV was also tabbed an All-South Central Region first-team performer by both Daktronics and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He was the LSC South Division Player of the Year and was named the LSC Postseason Tournament MVP.

He became the 17th player in MSU history to average more than 20 points per game as he scored 21.1 points per contest, leading the South Central Region and ranking 18th in NCAA Division II.

Richardson IV was the first Midwestern State player to score 30-or-more points in three-straight games when he scored 34 points against Texas A&M-Commerce on Dec. 17, 2008; 32 points versus Northwest Missouri State on Dec. 20, 2008; and 32 more against Ouachita Baptist (Ark.) on December 21, 2008.

He was also the first MSU player to score 20 points in eight-straight games since NAIA All-American Isaac Devore strung together 10 consecutive 20-point efforts, spanning the end of the 1973-74 campaign to the beginning of the 1974-75 season. Richardson IV performed the feat from Jan. 24-Feb. 25, 2009.

Bo completed his collegiate career with 2,114 points, including 533 points at Northern Oklahoma-Enid (2005-06), 478 at Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College (2006-07), and 1,103 in two seasons at Midwestern.

Richardson IV still holds a pair of single-game records for the Mustangs.

MSU coach Jeff Ray sent him back into a blowout against East Central (Okla.) after he had already hit eight 3-pointers early in the second half with simple instructions, "Shoot it every time you touch." Not knowing why, Bo responded, "Coach must really want to kill these guys." He would end up coming away with a school record 10 triples and a total of 32 points against the Tigers.

During his junior campaign, Richardson IV tied an LSC record and set the school's all-time mark by handing out 17 assists against Eastern New Mexico.

Richardson IV earned All-LSC second-team honors following his junior campaign of 2007-08 and was a seven-time LSC South Division Player of the Week.

After playing seven professional seasons in Germany, Portugal, Finland, Hungary, and Austria, Richardson IV returned to Oklahoma and took over as head coach at his alma mater -- Central High School -- in Tulsa this season.
