Phillip Boggs finished his career as the most prolific passer in Midwestern State history.

The 2002 Harlon Hill Trophy Finalist finished his career with a school-record 5,592 passing yards and was an All-Lone Star Conference performer in 2001, 2002 and 2003.

Boggs posted 1,763 passing yards and rushed for 470 more while accounting for 22 touchdowns during the 2002 campaign after leading MSU to a Lone Star Conference North Division championship in 2001.

He graduated as the school’s all-time leader in total offense yards (7,182), passing yards (5,592), passing touchdowns (41) and pass completions (432).

Boggs remains eighth on the school’s all-time rushers list with 1,590 yards and accounted for 54 touchdowns during his career.

He still holds the top two games in program history for most total yards in a single game with 500 at East Central on Oct. 6, 2001 and 482 against Central Oklahoma on Sep. 29, 2001.

Boggs also passed for an MSU single-game record 429 yards against West Texas A&M on Oct. 12, 2002.
