Hall of Honor
Molly Van Hemert Heath elevated Midwestern State's Volleyball program, playing four seasons with sustained success. The setter, originally from Garland, Texas, led the Mustangs to four-straight NAIA District 8 Playoff appearances (1991-1994). While at Midwestern State, Van Hemert helped the program to a top-four or better finish in the Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association (TIAA) each season, helping MSU win the TIAA championship in 1993. The championship in 1993 was the volleyball programs first conference championship, finishing with a record of 21-10. Individually, Van Hemert was a three-time all-TIAA first team award winner, and earned NAIA All-District 8 second team accolades in three seasons at Midwestern State.
