Greg Giddings (1983-85) served in many different capacities for the Midwestern State men's basketball program.

Giddings, an Archer City High School product, tallied 687 points and averaged 9.7 per game in 1983-84 and 84-85 after transferring from Lon Morris College. He helped the Indians to an NAIA National Tournament showing in 1984 and an NAIA District 8 final the following season.

Giddings returned to his alma mater to serve as Jeff Ray's top assistant in 1996.

The duo teamed to deliver a pair of Lone Star Conference championships (1999, 2000) and the school's first two NCAA Division II postseason appearances in 1999 and 2000.

Giddings took over the reins of the program for three seasons beginning with the 2000-01 campaign.
