The 5-9, 155-pound speedster from Arlington hit another gear as a senior going for 24 goals and five assists during the 2007 campaign to lead Midwestern State to an 18-3-2 mark advancing to the NCAA Division II national semifinals for the first time in program history.

Brown closed his junior season on a high note booking a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win at Incarnate Word then found the net in each of the next three matches in road wins at Missouri Southern and Northeastern State (Okla.) before in front of the home crowd against Eastern New Mexico.

The pace continued in the playoffs as Brownie once again solved Incarnate Word then assisted Sun Potter's opening goal to give the Mustangs a lead at Fort Lewis (Colo.) in the 32nd minute. Midwestern's lead held up until the Skyhawks scored in the 88th minute on a header Midwestern State defenders argue was the cleared off of the line.

The goal stood and Fort Lewis advanced in penalties, but the run only fueled Brown's dynamic senior campaign offsetting the loss of Potter (13 goals, 10 assists) and SSC Offensive Player of the Year Brandon Swartzendruber (17 goals, 10 assists).

During his senior campaign of 2007, Brown scored at least two goals in seven matches including a hat trick in a 3-2 win at Northeastern State. He scored goals in 16 of 23 matches to earn Daktronics first-team All-America honors as the South Central Region Player of the Year and Southwest Soccer Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

Brown's 24 goals remain the most for any Midwestern player during the NCAA era and equaled Parker Cowand's 24 goals set in 1988. Both were two goals shy of Kris Henderson's 26 set in 1990.

The Brown-led Mustangs blitzed through the postseason rolling Metropolitan State (Colo.) 8-1 in the opening round, then avenged a loss to West Texas A&M beating the 1-0 in the regional finals in Canyon.

Midwestern used its home field presence and strong effort move past Sonoma State (Calif.) on penalties in the national quarterfinals before suffering the same fate against eventual national champion Franklin Pierce (N.H.) in the Final Four at Orange Beach.

It was the first of two national semifinalist showing for the Mustangs in the midst of unprecedented run of six consecutive NCAA playoff appearances as Brown played key role building on Midwestern's strong winning legacy in men's soccer.

He remains 11th on the program's all-time list with 91 points (38 goals, 15 assists) and is seventh all-time with 38 goals.
