LUBBOCK, Texas – Midwestern State Track & Field posted half-a-dozen personal bests at the Corky Crofoot Shootout and Texas Invitational. The Mustangs had a pair of runners compete at the Texas Invitational, while MSU had several competitors at the Corky Crofoot Shootout.
 
In the state capital, Maggie Neal and Jadyn Dangerfield ran in the 800 meters at the Texas Invitational in the field of UT student-athletes. Dangerfield took 4^th (2:11.53), while Neal was just behind in 6^th (2:12.97).
 
At the Corky Croofoot Shootout, the Mustangs collected six personal bests at Fuller Track & Field at Texas Tech. Jessie Heath led the Mustangs in 400 meters, setting an outdoor personal best in the event finishing 6^th (56.07). Sophia Lee also raced to a new career best in the event (58.07). Heath posted a new career best time in the 200 meters (25.29), finishing behind Karissa Nixon (25.02, 12^th) as part of a new season best (wind legal). Brianna Estrada also ran to a new personal best in the 200 meters (25.65, 17^th).
 
Abby Cavender raced a to new career best time in the 400 meter hurdles, crossing the line in 1:06.81, moving into 6^th in the MSU all-time sports performance list. The Mustangs registered two personal bests to conclude the one-day meet, with Hallie Kogler posting a PR in the 800m (2:21.58), and Perla Flores raced to an outdoor personal record in the 5,000m (18:40.14).

Midwestern State now turn their attention to the conference championships heading to Canyon, Texas next weekend, with the three-day event beginning May 7 and wrapping up May 9.
