INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Kennedy Johnson of Midwestern State Track & Field will compete at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships next weekend in Emporia, Kan., announced on NCAA.com Tuesday afternoon.
 
The sophomore jumped to a personal best mark this season (12.39m, 40' 7.75") to finish 14^th in all of Division II, and finishing 2^nd in the south central region. Johnson enters the national championships after a second place finish at the LSC OTF Championships (12.23m).

Johnson will compete on Friday, May 22 at 4:45 p.m., with competition beginning a day earlier, and ending on Saturday, May 23 at Emporia State at the Francis G. Welch Stadium. Live results and live stream of the events can be found at NCAA.com.
