NORMAN, Okla. – Midwestern State Track & Field leaves the Lone Star state to compete at the OU O ring Alumni Opener on Saturday afternoon. The two-day meet kicked off Friday with multi and field event, while the Mustangs will take on the several track events on Saturday.
Last weekend, the Mustangs posted over a dozen personal records, with
Kennedy Johnson breaking the school record in the triple jump. The sophomore jumped 12.39m, reaching a provisional mark and posting the 9
th best mark in Division II this season.
Maggie Neal ran to victory in the 800 meters, clocking 2:13.36, while
Jadyn Dangerfield followed in 2
nd place (2:14.59). Jesse Heath took 2
nd place in the 400 meters, posting an outdoor personal record time of 56.24.

The Mustangs will head to Oklahoma, competing against several Division I programs at the OU O ring Alumni Opener. Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, UT-Arlington, and Wichita State will represent at the meet, while LSC foes Oklahoma Christian will race in Norman. Midwestern State have 43 entries over 13 events. The Mustangs will have two entries in the 4x400 relay, while seven competitors will race in the 200 meters.

Midwestern State return to Texas for their final meet of the regular season, racing at the Corky Crofoot Shootout at Texas Tech, Apr. 30-May 1.
