NORMAN, Okla. – Midwestern State Track & Field won five events at the Oklahoma Classic, while combining to set six personal records at Mosier Indoor Facility on Friday evening. The Mustangs competed against several teams from Oklahoma, including conference foes Cameron and Oklahoma Christian, alongside Division I programs North Texas, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State.

Grace Pineda shined with a pair of PR's, taking 1
st place in the 3000 meters, and 2
nd place in the Mile. The sophomore started the day in the Mile, clocking a personal best 5:01.99, finishing just behind Oklahoma's Gabi Barrera. The mark in the mile is now third in the all-time Midwestern State Indoor Performance List. Later in the 3000 meters, Pineda crossed the line first (10:13.75), setting an all-time personal best and moving into 2
nd for MSU Indoor Performance List.

Ella Pando (3
rd, 5:14.64) and
Jazira Perez (4
th, 5:27.70) also ran in the mile with Pineda and finished just behind the sophomore. Pando's time was a personal best, while sitting 8
th in all-time MSU Performance List.
Kennedy Johnson took top spot in the triple jump, with her first leap of 11.90m (39' 0.5") securing first place. Johnson hit a provisional mark for the thrid time in the event this season.

Jessie Heath (2:14.13, indoor personal best) and
Jadyn Dangerfield (2:14.75) both hit provisional marks in the 800 meters, finishing 1-2 for MSU.
Maggie Neal ran to a 2:18.13 to take third, while
Isabel Hernandez set a personal best in the event (2:29.79). Heath's time in the 800 meters cements her into 4
th all-time in MSU Indoor Performance List, while also being an indoor personal best.
In the sprints, Karissa won the 200 meters with a season best time of 25.89.
Kennedy DeHorney was not far behind with a 25.94 time to finish third. The Mustangs relay team put in an outstanding performance in the 4x400, racing to a time of 3:57.54 for 1
st place. The group of Heath, Neal, Dangerfield, and DeHorney ran to the 9
th fastest time in program history in the event.

Additionally,
Abby Cavender took 2
nd in the 400 m, crossing the line in 1:03.51.
Shalisa Williams posted a personal best in the 600 yards, 1:36.95, while Diana Kelly took home 7
th in the high jump (1.50 m, 4' 11").

The Mustangs will wrap up the regular season next weekend, heading to Pittsburg State competing in the 11th Annual Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic on Feb. 13-14.
