WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Long-time Midwestern State's
Scott Linn is stepping down as men's and women's tennis coach effective April 1.
Linn is stepping away from collegiate athletics to take over as Chief Advancement Officer as his alma mater, East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.
Linn led the tennis programs to unprecedented heights in his 15 years at the helm.
The women are currently ranked No. 1 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division II rankings with an 11-1 record.
Linn guided the women to 253 wins – just 10 shy of the program's career record, leading the Mustangs to five Lone Star Conference titles and 12 trips to the NCAA postseason, including the program's first trip to the national semifinals last season.
The Mustangs men are currently 6-2 and ranked No. 9 in the ITA Division II rankings.
Linn has guided the men to 220 wins in his 15 seasons, including three LSC championships with 11 trips to the NCAA postseason.
