WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Germano Setti is one of six players in NCAA Division II selected to the 2025-2026 Academic All-America® Men's Tennis First Team by College Sports Communicators.
Setti completed his fourth season with the Mustangs with a 13-5 record at No. 1 singles and was also 17-2 at No. 2 doubles, playing alongside
Matthew Earle.
The senior from Brazil boasts a 3.97 GPA with a General Business major.
Setti won the Marie Morgan Award as Midwestern State's Outstanding Male Student Athlete earlier this spring at the MSU Student-Athlete Awards Banquet. He was also named the Lone Star Conference Men's Tennis Academic Player of the Year for the second time in his career.
President of the MSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, he has earned Midwestern State President's and Provost's Honor Roll recognition. Setti has twice been named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and MSU Mustang Scholar-Athlete. He is also a candidate for the 2025-26 Lone Star Conference Fred Jacoby Academic Athlete of the Year award.
Sepken is one of three LSC players on the first team, joined by Pablo Segura and Mattia Ghedin of Lubbock Christian. The LSC has six players among the 18 selected for the Academic All-America® Team.
In his career at MSU, Setti has a combined record of 86-52 in both singles and doubles.
