WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State is No. 32 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings of NCAA Division II teams.
The Mustangs finished the season with a 14-8 record, including a 5-3 record in the Lone Star Conference. MSU was the No. 4 seed in the LSC Men's Tennis Championship and defeated St. Mary's in the quarterfinals, 4-0, before suffering a 4-3 loss to No. 6-ranked Lubbock Christian.
The Chaparrals ended the season for Midwestern State with a 4-1 victory in the preliminary South Central Regional dual at Penny Gullo Tennis Center in Lubbock.
Germano Setti played No. 1 singles for the Mustangs during the dual-match season and posted a 13-5 record. The senior from Brazil was 18-7 across all competitions and finished No. 22 in the ITA rankings of Division II singles players.

Matthew Earle finished the dual-match season with a 17-2 record at No. 2 doubles and were 20-6 across all competitions.
Bruno Sanchez and
Juan David Duque played No. 1 doubles for the Mustangs and were 12-6 during the spring campaign. The duo went 17-9 across all competition and are ranked No. 13 in the final ITA rankings.
Sanchez finished the year ranked No. 34 in singles with a 17-6 overall record. He won seven of eight matches in LSC regular season duals and won his final six matches for the Mustangs.
Jose Marquez was 13-8 during the dual match season, playing both No. 3 and No. 4 singles at various times for MSU. The senior from Oaxaca, Mexico, finished the year ranked No. 70 among all NCAA Division II singles players with a 15-9.
