WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Freshman third baseman Abby Howell clubbed two homers and drove in nine runs to lead No. 2-ranked West Texas A&M to a twin bill sweep of Midwestern State Sunday afternoon at Mustangs Park.
The Lady Buffs (40-2, 20-2 LSC) extended their winning streak to 20 games by beating MSU 11-3 in Game 1 and 9-1 in five innings in the night cap.
Midwestern State dipped to 14-27 on the season, while falling to 11-21 in Lone Star Conference play.
MSU hosts Eastern New Mexico in a doubleheader Friday afternoon at Mustangs Park. First pitches are set for 1 and 3 p.m.
