No. 17 Midwestern State continues the fall portion of the season at the NCAA National Preview this week, facing high level competition in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. at the PGA National Resort. MSU will face three rounds of stroke play (54 holes) in a field of 12 schools.
The Mustangs will carry seven golfers this weekend, with two competing as individuals: 1.Â

Alli Reily, 3.Â
Emme Darnold, 4.Â
Madison Wert, and 5.Â
Mary Kerr is the lineup.
Romane Lacoste and
Kaetie Samuels will be competing as individuals for MSU.
Scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast for both days while the Mustangs are in South Florida. The chance of rain is high, with a 40% chance of precipitation over the two days, with a steady 17 mph wind coming from the east. Temperatures are forecasted in the high-80s, with 80% humidity.
In the national poll, Midwestern State have moved up to No. 17 in the nation from the latest Mizuno/WGCA Coaches Poll. The Mustangs moved up from their preseason ranking of No. 22 from the first preseason poll.
Recently, Midwestern State had a solid team outing at the WT Invitational, finishing 2
nd of 15 teams at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas. MSU finished shooting 5-over par, finishing four strokes behind winners West Texas A&M.

Kodi Nolen led the Mustangs shooting 3-under par over the three rounds, finishing in third place, while classmate
Alli Reily finshed with a 2-under par tournament to come in 6
th place. Competing as an individual at the WT Indivitational,
Emme Darnold has earned a spot in the lineup after shooting 3-over par, placing 10
th.
Of the 12 teams competing in the National Preview, nine garner a national ranking, and two others are receiving votes. MSU will are joined by fellow Lone Star Conference schools: No. 3 DBU, No. 11 UT Tyler, No. 12 West Texas A&M, and No. 15 St. Mary's. Region foe (RV) Cal State East bay will make the travel to Florida, while No. 6 Lynn, No. 8 Nova Southeastern, No. 18 Barry, No. 25 Florida Southern, (RV) Palm Beach Atlantic, and Embry-Riddle-FL make up the rest of the field.
Opening tee time of the first round is set for 8:30 a.m., as the Mustangs are paired with Lynn and DBU.
