Two school records fall, Mustangs enjoy success at LSC Indoor Championships

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Midwestern State's Nathalia Escontrias narrowly missed the medal stand and Jaylen Hogue set one of two school records for the Mustangs Sunday in the Lone Star Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Texas Tech Indoor Performance Center.

The Mustangs enjoyed their best overall showing as a team competing in their 11th LSC Indoor Championships finishing with 28 points to place sixth in the 10-team field.

MSU 4x400-meter relay team smashed a school record by five seconds finishing fourth overall with a time of 3:50.96 competing in an exceptional heat.

Angelo State turned in the Lone Star Conference's all-time best time at 3:38.38 which is also the fastest time in NCAA Division II to win the relay.
