WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The 22
nd-ranked MSU Texas men's tennis team was unable to hold onto the early momentum built in a 6-3 setback to 13

Midwestern State (3-2) got off to a quick start in doubles to take a 2-1 lead into singles. The tandem of
Dillon Pineda and
Nolan McCaig defeated SBU's Gyorgy and Ferenc Agoston, 8-6, at the No. 1 line before the Mustangs' pair of
Alex Martinez Roca and
Angel Palacios bested Sherif Abohabaga and Marcel Castillo, 8-5, at No. 3. A late surge at the No. 2 spot allowed Torben Semaru and Raul Caballero to fend off MSU's duo of

Denney Norrie, 8-6.
Sophomore
Angel Palacios kept things rolling for the Maroon and Gold, winning in straight sets over David Szeri, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 3 to stretch the lead to 3-1. The Bearcats would storm back, winning the final five singles matches to close out the win. Freshman
