- Midwestern State is in search of its second-straight and sixth Lone Star Conference Postseason title, but will have to recover from a three-match regular season ending slide.
- The Mustangs slipped from the No. 2 seed to fourth last weekend and now must navigate a dangerous quarterfinal matchup against Eastern New Mexico before they can make travel plans to San Angelo.
- The winner of the Wednesday night's match between MSU and Eastern New Mexico advances to the semifinal round against top-seeded Angelo State Friday night at the ASU Soccer Field. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. The LSC Postseason Tournament title match follows on Sunday at 1 p.m. also in San Angelo.
- Midwestern State claimed postseason titles in 1996, 1998, 2011, 2013 and 2016. The Mustangs are the only side to advance to 22 straight LSC Postseason Tournaments.
- Senior midfielder Destinee Williamson leads the Mustangs offense and ranks third in the league with 22 points (7 goals, 8 assists), appearing 19th nationally in total assists.
- Freshman midfielder Kelly Cannistra has also reached the double-figure plateau this season in scoring with 11 points (3 goals, 5 assists) to rank second for the Mustangs.
- Defensively, the Mustangs have totaled nine shutouts to rank 37th in the country in shutout percentage (.500)
- Senior goalkeeper Courtney Burnette paces the LSC in shutout percentage (.500) and is third in save percentage (.824), while coming in 30th in the nation with 103 total saves and 75th in save percentage.
- Eastern New Mexico stunned No. 16 Midwestern State 2-1 with a pair of second half goals by sophomore midfielder Ariel Lopez Friday night at Stang Park. It was the Hounds' third win in Wichita Falls in seven trips as ENMU is 3-3-1 during that stretch.
- Eastern New Mexico earned a scoreless draw with the Mustangs earlier this season in Portales.
- Lopez leads the Greyhounds with seven goals and three assists for 17 points to lead the Greyhounds. Four of her seven goals have come in ENMU's last three matches as she tallied single goals at Texas Woman's University and Texas A&M-Commerce before notching her first multiple-goal performance of her collegiate career against MSU.
- In goal, junior keeper Alejandra Camarillo has posted four shutouts with a 1.33 goals against average and .735 save percentage. She provided a spectacular seven saves in ENMU's 2-1 win over MSU on Friday.
