MSU FAST FIVE
MSU AND THE LSC POSTSEASON TOURNAMENT: Midwestern State qualified for its 17th consecutive Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament and is the only team to be a part of every title bracket the league has hosted. The Mustangs can clinch a No. 3 seed with a win and if Angelo State ties or draw with Incarnate Word. Incarnate Word can clinch the top and hosting seed with a win over the Rambelles. West Texas A&M will host if the Buffs win and UIW loses or draws with Angelo State.
STEPPING IT UP: The Mustangs had scored more than one goal in just one of 15 matches heading into last weekend before scoring multiple goals in wins over Texas Woman's University and Texas A&M-Commerce. MSU's current three-match winning streak matches Abilene Christian for the longest positive run of results in the LSC. Though they have had to battle for postseason positioning, the Mustangs and Wildcats have played in the league championship game in each of the last two seasons.
WHITWORTH BECOMES MSU'S ALL-TIME SHUTOUT LEADER: Senior goalkeeper
Mallory Whitworth became Midwestern's all-time shutouts leader by posting her 21st career clean sheet in a 3-0 win over Texas A&M-Commerce on Sunday.
Elli O'Dwyer had 20 shutouts from 2002-05 as the previous leader. She now has 43 career victories and continues to lead NCAA Division II in goalkeeper minutes played with 1,643.
HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO: Freshman forward
Ashley Cottrell tallied two goals 60 seconds apart to lead the Mustangs to a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Texas Woman's on Friday. It was
Cottrell's second 2-goal performance of the season and upped her goal tally to a team-high seven in just 15 shots.
FOOKES FOOTS WINNERS: Sophomore forward
Payton Fookes has tallied points in four of her last five matches including goals against West Texas A&M and Texas A&M-Commerce. The Mustangs have won all four matches in which
Fookes has tallied a goal this season.

Previous Meeting (9/26): Midwestern State and Abilene Christian battled to a 1-1 draw last month at the MSU Soccer Field. ACU's
