ADA, Okla. - No. 17 Midwestern State ran through the wind and the rain through the storm as the Mustangs claimed their fourth team victory of the season by tallying 35 points at the East Central Tiger Chase.
"Our goal was to have a race atmosphere, but save some energy for the postseason at the same time," MSU coach
Koby Styles said. "We just wanted to have some fun running in a pack. They were smiling and having a good time, but now it's go time and we're ready to get to work. It will be time prove ourselves over the next few weeks."
The Mustangs, who are a combined 81-1 through five meets this season, will enjoy an idle week before going for their third consecutive Lone Star Conference championship in Abilene on Nov. 6.
