WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Parker Plaxco was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week, and
Jake Morris was recognized as the LSC Goalkeeper of the Week for the second straight week after the Mustangs extended their winning streak to six games with a 1-0 win at St. Edward's and a 3-0 victory over Texas A&M International.
Plaxco scored three goals in an 18-minute span of the first half as the No. 6-ranked Mustangs improved to 8-0-2 with their win over the Dustdevils. The senior from Stephenville, Texas, leads the LSC with eight goals and 16 points this season. Plaxco has seven goals in his last five games and has scored three game-winning goals this season.
Morris made two saves in the shutout at St. Edward's, and he matched his season high with six saves as he posted his fourth clean sheet of the season against Texas A&M International. Morris leads the conference in shutouts, goals-against average (0.70) and save percentage (.848). The junior from Parker, Colorado, is second in the league with 39 total saves and has only allowed one goal in his last four games for the Mustangs.
