Parker Plaxco scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 triumph over Western Oregon, and Jose Ortiz scored his seventh goal of the season in a 4-1 win over Simon Fraser. Midwestern State opens conference play on the road at St. Edward's on Wednesday night, and the Mustangs have some bitter memories of recent battles with the Hilltoppers, who are hosting MSU under the lights for the first time with a 7 p.m. kickoff. Midwestern State has a noon kickoff on Saturday as it hosts Texas A&M International at Stang Park.
