WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The accolades continue to pour in for
Selin Sepken of the Midwestern State women's tennis team. The graduate student from Turkey has been selected by College Sports Communicators as a 2025-26 Academic All-America® Team Member.
Sepken transferred to Midwestern State from Idaho, where she had 3.60 GPA as an undergraduate. She is working toward a master's degree in business administration at MSU Texas and has a 3.66 GPA.
Sepken, who was selected as a member of the third team, is one of 18 NCAA Division II players to be bestowed the honor and one of three players from the Lone Star Conference. AnaMaria Zoric of Lubbock Christian was selected to the first team, and Andrea De Bernardo of LCU joins Sepken on the third team.
The NCAA Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.
Earlier this spring, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association recognized Sepken as the ITA Senior Player of the Year.
Sepken was 29-3 across all competitions and finished No. 8 in the ITA singles rankings, earning All-American status for the Mustangs, who reached the Round of 16 in the NCAA in the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship.
