LAWTON, Oklahoma – Midwestern State competed in the Cameron University Invite this past weekend, and the women rolled past the competition. Filip Vacula, Cesar Loeches Llamas and Tomas Leguizamon posted winning records for the men's team at Streich-Henry Tennis Complex.

Emilia Gyorgy and Victoria Vieten finished 3-0 in Flight A singles, defeating opponents from Cameron, Central Oklahoma and Lubbock Christian. Gyorgy won all three matches in straight sets. Vieten won two match tiebreaks.

Camila Garcia and Alessia Dolce were dominant in Flight B singles. Both players breezed through their three opponents and did not drop a set. 

Ekin Ozmen went undefeated in Flight C, winning all three of her matches in straight sets. Ana Maria Podrug coasted to three victories in Flight D, dropping just 10 games in her three matches.

In doubles, Gyorgy and Dolce posted two wins against opponents from Cameron and Central Oklahoma. Garcia and Vieten only dropped two games in three sets of doubles against foes from Lubbock Christian and Cameron.

Filip Vacula led the MSU men, finishing with a 2-1 record in Flight A. The junior from the Czechia won two match tiebreaks, including a 12-10 victory over Amir Gaisin in the consolation final.

Vacula paired with Bruno Sanchez to win all four doubles matches. 

Cesar Loeches Llamas won two match tiebreaks to go undefeated in singles Flight B, and Tomas Leguizamon finished with a 2-1 record in Flight B.
