FORT SMITH, Ark. – No. 24-ranked Midwestern State is one stroke off the lead at the Hardscrabble Invitational after two rounds of the 54-hole event.

Alli Reily are among the top eight on the individual leaderboard entering the final round on Tuesday at Hardscrabble Country Club.
No. 38-ranked Arkansas Tech leads the 14-team field at 43-over 603, and Ellen Spigner of the Golden Suns is atop the individual leaderboard at 1-over 141. Kerr is alone in second place — six strokes behind Spigner.
Nolen is in a three-way tie for fifth place at 10-over 150, and Reily is tied for eighth place at 11-over 151.
Midwestern State was nine strokes behind Arkansas Tech at the conclusion of the first round, shooting 24-over 304, but the Mustangs had the best second round in the field at 20-over 300, while the Golden Suns shot 28-over in the afternoon session. The Mustangs finished the day at 44-over 604.
Henderson State, ranked No. 46 in the nation, is 12 strokes back in third place, and No. 44-ranked Arkansas-Fort Smith is in fourth place at 58-over. Lubbock Christian sits fifth on the leaderboard — 16 strokes behind Arkansas Tech.
Kerr, a sophomore from Friendswood, Texas, had four birdies over her final seven holes of the second round en route to a 4-over 74 after opening the day with a 3-over 73, shooting 1-under on the front nine at the 5,988-yard course.
Nolen carded four birdies in the second round after shooting 6-over in the first round without a birdie. The senior from Midlothian, Texas, shot 4-over in the second round.
Reily reeled off three straight birdies on the front nine during the second round and went out at 2-under 33. The senior from Pottsboro, Texas, finished the round at 2-over 72 after shooting 9-over 79 during the morning session.
Kerr and Reily both had six birdies over the first two rounds, which is tied for sixth most in the 75-player field.
Midwestern State led the field with 19 birdies over the first 36 holes and had the second-most pars with 90, five fewer than Arkansas Tech.
The Mustangs had the best average score on the 10 par-4s at 4.40 and tied for third on the three par-5s with an average score of 5.13.
Romane Lacoste, who won the tournament while at Northwestern Oklahoma State last year, enters the final round in 19th place at 16-over 156.
Kaetie Samuels had two birdies in the first round and is in a three-way tie for 38th place at 22-over 162 through 36 holes.
The final round tees off at 8:30 on Tuesday morning.
