Play suspended due to darkness with Mustangs sitting third in second round at Rattler Invitational

The Mustangs have a two-stroke lead over fourth place UT Tyler but trail second place St. Mary's by 16 strokes. No. 4-ranked Dallas Baptist is 2-under par with a seven-stroke lead over the Rattlers.

Teams will close out their second rounds on Tuesday morning before playing the final 18 holes of the 54-hole tournament. Play was delayed on Monday morning due to frost at Dominion Country Club.

Alli Reily and Madison Wert have three holes to complete in the second round, while Mary Kerr and Kodi Nolen completed 16 holes of the second round before darkness halted play on Monday. Emme Darnold and Kaetie Samuels are both playing as individuals and made it through 17 holes of the second round.

Kerr enters play on Tuesday tied for eighth place at 3-over. The sophomore from Friendswood, Texas, is 1-under in her second round with five birdies. She had one birdie in the first round before a five-hole string of bogeys. She opened the tournament with 10 consecutive pars.
