•   Midwestern State embarks on the 2025-26 season at the DBU Classic, held at Oakmont CC in Corinth, Texas. The Mustangs begin the season at the DBU Classic for the third straight season.
•   The lineup for the first tournament of the year is 1. Alli Reily, 2. Romane Lacoste, 3. Madison Wert, 4. Kaetie Samuels, and 5. Mary Kerr. Samantha Truong will be competing for MSU as an individual.
•   The weather forecast on Monday in Corinth is set for sunny skies with winds from the south, with temperatures reaching to the mid-90s. Day two of the tournament will see mostly sunny weather, with temperatures remaining in the mid-90s
•   The Mustangs rank No. 22 in Mizuno/WGCA Coaches Preseason Poll. Midwestern State were one of five teams in the Lone Star Conference to land in the top-25 poll. Last season, Women's Golf ended the campaign receiving votes in the final poll of the season.
•   Midwestern State had a historic season in 2024-25, winning the NCAA DII West Super Regional, and reaching the NCAA Championships tournament, finishing 12th. Three of the five competitors at the NCAA Championship return to the lineup for the Mustangs this season.
•   Senior Alli Reily returns for MSU after earning All-LSC Second Team honors in 2024-25, and finished in the top-10 in stoke play at the LSC championships. Madison Wert, Mary Kerr, and Kodi Nolen all helped the Mustangs to a 3rd place finish at LSC championships, and return for another season with MSU.
•   The opening weekend will feature 15 teams competing at the DBU Classic, with nine teams appearing in top-25 poll: No. 1 DBU, No. 10 Central Missouri, No. 12 St. Mary's, No. 16 North Georgia, No. 17 UT Tyler, No. 18 Saint Leo, No. 19 Missouri-St. Louis, No. 20 Henderson State, and No. 22 Midwestern State. Additionally, three other teams attending received votes in the opening poll: Barry, Arkansas Tech, and Rogers State.
•   Opening tee time of the first round is set for 8 a.m., as the Mustangs are paired with Central Oklahoma, UT Permian Basin and Henderson State.
