EDMOND, Okla. – Midwestern State continues its four-game road trip to start the season with a trip to Central Oklahoma, and the Mustangs are still seeking their first win of the campaign.
The Mustangs are 0-1-1 to start the season after settling for a 2-2 draw against Southern Nazarene and overcoming a two-goal deficit only to suffer a 3-2 loss at Ouachita Baptist.
The Bronchos played No. 3-ranked Minnesota State to a 0-0 draw in Mankato, Minnesota on Sept. 5 and lost their second game in Mankato to Augustana, 3-1.
Midwestern State is 7-18-1 all-time against Central Oklahoma but won its last meeting with the Bronchos, 3-1, at Stang Park last season.
Nyxalee Munoz scored the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute for the Mustangs, who are 1-12-1 in 14 previous visits to Edmond.
The last meeting at Tom Thompson Field resulted in a 1-1 draw as
Lexi Beck scored the equalizer in the 71st minute for the Mustangs.

Jasmine Montgomery and
Marlene Myrvold have scored goals for the Mustangs in their first two games of the season.
Morgan Countryman leads the team with two assists.
Mable Pruter and
Sloane Sullivan have also assisted on goals for Midwestern State, which is outshot its first two opponents 49-22.
The Mustangs have put 13 of their 49 shots on goals, while the opposition has put 10-of-22 shots on frame. Ouachita Baptist took three shots and scored three goals in their victory over MSU on Sunday.
Freshman goalkeeper
Lauren Short has played 180 minutes and allowed five goals while making five saves for the Stangs.
Jordan Tanges has scored the only goal for the Bronchos as she pulled UCO even with Augustana late in the first half, but the Vikings scored twice in the second half en route to its 3-1 victory.
Senior goalkeeper Avery Bass has a 1.50 goals-against average and is 0-1-1 after posting a 10-6-3 record last year with nine clean sheets. Bass record 91 saves in 20 matches last season, the second-most in a single season for UCO.
The Bronchos are playing in their home opener after finishing last season with a 6-3-2 record on home soil. OCU was 12-7-4 last year with a 7-2-3 mark in the MIAA and reached the second round of the NCAA Division II Central Regional, suffering a 2-0 loss at Central Missouri.
Midwestern State opens conference play at Texas A&M International on Sept. 17. Kickoff at Dustdevil Soccer Field is scheduled for 7 p.m.
