WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State Women's Soccer student-athletes
Lillia Besedin and
Nyxalee Munoz earned All-South Central Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches Association (USC), announced the organization on Tuesday afternoon. Both become unanimous all-region selections after earning the same honors from the D2CCA. Besedin earned a spot on the first team, while Munoz was named to the second team.
Besedin, a native of Gilbert, Ariz., becomes the first Mustangs to earn 1
st team All-Region recognition from USC, while Destinee Williamson was the last MSU player to earn 1
st Team all-region from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in 2016. The senior midfielder garnered 1
st team All-Conference honors, leading the Mustangs with eight goals, accounting for 16 points. Besedin also earned LSC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 20, helping the Mustangs to a 16-game unbeaten streak in 2025.
Munoz earns their second all-region honor of the season after leading the Midwestern State offense with 78 shots, and 23 shots on goal. The attacking midfielder scored seven goals, including a pair of game-winning goals, while adding one assist. The Odessa, Texas, native started all 20 games, and she played the full 90 minutes in three postseason games, earning LSC All-Conference 1
st team honors.
DBU led all schools with five players on the All-South Central Region Women's Soccer Team, and MSU was one of five LSC schools with two representatives.
