WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State scored a thrilling 9-8 victory over Lubbock Christian in the opening game of a doubleheader and then defeated the Lady Chaps in routine fashion, 6-2, in the nightcap.
Addison Lindemann and Megan Ayala came through with clutch two-out hits in the sixth inning of Game 1 as Midwestern State reclaimed the lead from LCU after falling behind 8-6. Lindemann earned her first save in the opener and then pitched a complete game to win the second game, 6-2. Lindemann scattered nine hits and issued three walks but allowed only one earned run and stranded eight Lady Chaps in the victory.Â
