WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State battled Southwestern Oklahoma State to a doubleheader split on the final day of the Mustang Roundup Sunday afternoon at Mustangs Park.
Southwestern Oklahoma State took the opener, 4-1, before the Mustangs rallied to take the nightcap by a score of 5-2.
The Mustangs improved to 3-6, while SWOSU dropped to 5-3.
Midwestern State opens Lone Star Conference play with a twin bill against St. Mary's Friday afternoon at Mustangs Park. First pitches are slated for 1 and 3 p.m.
