ALBUQUERQUE -- Midwestern State made two appearances on the medal stand and scored the second most points in program history in the Lone Star Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Friday and Saturday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
The Mustangs amassed 38 points to finish sixth out of 10 teams at the event.
And, for the third time this season, MSU set a new program record in the 4x400-meter relay.
Sophomore

Nidhi Singh blazed to a time of 3:43.43 to finish behind Texas A&M-Kingsville (3:39.62) and UT Tyler (3:40.56).
It was the highest finish in the event for the Mustangs, who reached the medal stand for the first time in the 4x400-meter relay while improving their NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time.
Singh also led a stellar showing in the 800-meter run for Midwestern. The Thane, India, native set a new school record with a time of 2:10.15 to earn the silver medal just ahead of Neal, who claimed the bronze with a PR time of 2:12.57.

Jadyn Dangerfield (2:14.88) and freshman
Bailee Bowers (2:21.88) came across the line in fourth- and firth-place as the Mustangs scored a total of 23 points in the event.
Junior
Ella Pando placed sixth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:13.30, while freshman
Kennedy Johnson leaped 36 feet and 3/4 inches to take sixth in the triple jump.

Grace Pineda combined to finish sixth in the distance medley relay with a time of 12:37.32.
