LUBBOCK, Texas -- Midwestern State combined to set another record in the 4x400-meter relay and senior Nidhi Singh continued to shine for the Mustangs Saturday in the Jarvis Scott Invitational at Texas Tech's Sports Performance Center.

The senior from Thane, India, combined with Jessie Heath, Trell'Kyrah Watkins, and Maggie Neal to run an altitude-adjusted time of 3:46.05 to improve the previous mark of 3:46.05 set at Pittsburg State's Crimson & Gold Invitational in December.

The new mark improves on the NCAA Division II provisional time and could be a Top 20 time in the nation.

Heath led off with a split of 57.71 followed by Watkins (56.89), Neal (56.49), and Singh (54.53).

Singh also ran an adjusted time of 2:10.32 to place third in the 800-meter run.

Senior Nathalia Escontrias took a ninth-place finish in the 1,000-meter run, while sophomore Karissa Nixon led the MSU effort in the 200 by pacing 22nd with a time of 25.39.

Nixon's time ranks as the sixth best on the program's all-time performance list, while Corinne Thorpe placed 29th with a 25.55, Hailee Janzen was 32nd with a 25.62, Watkins was 37th with a PR time of 25.65, and Da'Shrana Sims was 49th with a 26.23.

Heath (57.67) and Daiza Jones (59.11) finished 39th and 55th, respectively, in the 400-meter dash, while sophomore Shalisa Williams was 52nd in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.60.

Thorpe was the top finisher for the Mustangs in the 60-meter dash, taking 53rd with a time of 7.86. She was trailed by Janzen (7.87/55th) and Watkins (7.94/61st).

Midwestern State competes in the Lone Star Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 21 and 22 at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
