ROME, Georgia – Midwestern State has four men competing in this week's ITA Cup at the Rome Tennis Center. The ITA Cup field features eight NCAA Division II regional champions, who were automatic qualifiers, and eight at large selections in both singles and doubles.

Bruno Sanchez earned the automatic bid as they defeated teammates
Matthew Earle and
Germano Setti in the final at the ITA DII Men's South Central Regional Championships, 6-4, 4-6, 10-7.
Setti and Earle received an at-large bid into the draw. Earle, who transferred from Washburn, played alongside Tim Hammes and won the ITA Cup Division II Men's Doubles national championship last year.
Setti also received an at-large bid into the singles draw after reaching the quarterfinals of the South Central Regional, including a 6-1, 7-6 (7) win over No. 4-seed Artiom Dorofeev of UT Tyler in the round of 16.
Setti, a senior from Brazil, is in the bottom half of the draw and face Tadeo Gaggiotatto of UIndy in the first round on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. CDT.
With a win, Setti would face either No. 3-seed Pedro Liborio of North Georgia or Pablo Segura of Lubbock Christian, who was the No. 2 seed in the South Central Regional and lost in three sets to 11th-seeded Malo Poulesquen of UT Tyler in the quarterfinals.
Setti and Earle will face Benedek Szombathelyi and Daniel Hammond of Columbus State in the first round of doubles. With a first-round victory, Kodai Kato and Jose David Segovia Perez of Saint Leo, the top-seeded duo, could be their quarterfinal opponent. Kato and Segovia Perez meet Omar Elsamahy and Vicente Garcia of Charleston (W Va.) in the first round.
Sanchez and Duque are the No. 4-seed in the draw and meet the Harding pairing of Adrian Solorzano and Cian Mikkelsen in the first round on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. Sanchez and Duque would play either Patricio Sepuleda and Bora Bakici of Grand Valley State, or Nagamitsu Kuroda and Don Vinz Lominique of St. Thomas Aquinas in the quarterfinals on Friday afternoon.
