PUEBLO, Colo. — Midwestern State University tied for ninth at the NCAA DII West Regional Preview, with
Alli Reily leading the team by finishing in a tie for 14th with a score of 152 (+10).
Midwestern State tied for ninth place in the NCAA DII Regional Preview Invite, with a total score of 622 across two rounds, finishing 74 strokes over par. Reily led the team, tying for 14th place individually with consistent rounds of 76, contributing to her final score of 152, 10-over-par.
Emme Darnold also had a notable performance, finishing tied for 29th with rounds of 78 and 77, totaling 155, which was 13-over-par.
Madison Wert and
Romane Lacoste both tied for 53rd place, each finishing at 158, 16-over-par. Wert improved significantly from an opening-round 82 to a 76 in the second round. Lacoste shot a 77 in the first round but struggled in the second, posting an 81.
Mary Kerr improved on the second day on competition, posting a 9-over par second round (80), finishing the tournament with a total score of 163 (+23).
Kodi Nolen, competing as an individual, tied for 37th place with rounds of 77 and 79, totaling 156. The efforts from the Mustangs placed them alongside CSU East Bay, both finishing tied in the standings.
As a team the Mustangs were tied fifth for total birdies with 15, while being tied for 10th for total pars with 87. Reily excelled on par-fours with the 7th best average score, with Darnold leading the team with 23 pars over the two rounds.
The Mustangs come home for their next tournament, as they host the Midwestern State Invitational from Oct. 20-21. The 54 hole tournament will be played at Wichita Falls Country Club.
