WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the 2024 ITA Division II Men's Regional Award recipients on Wednesday. 
Luis Diaz Argente was named the South Central Regional ITA Senior Player of the Year, and sophomore 
Germano Setti was named South Central Regional ITA Player to Watch.
Vinicius Oliveira was named the ITA South Central Regional Assistant Coach of the Year, and Midwestern State received the South Central Regional ITA Community Service Award Honorable Mention.
Diaz finished the season with a 12-9 record overall and won four of the nine matches he played against nationally ranked opponents. The Spaniard, who made 16 appearances at No. 1 singles, is the third player from Midwestern State to earn South Central Regional ITA Senior Player of the Year honors.
Alex Martinez Roca was recognized as the ITA Senior Player of the Year in the region two years ago, and Ramon Toyos was bestowed the honor in 2017.

Stephen Slocombe are No. 4 in the ITA rankings and posted an impressive 15-5 record at No. 1 doubles for the Mustangs this season and won eight of their final nine completed matches.
Setti won 11 of his 15 matches at No. 2 singles and completed the campaign with a 13-10 overall record. The sophomore from Brazil won 10 of his final 12 singles matches. The ITA Player to Watch award goes to a player who has an outstanding season and is expected to perform at a high level the rest of his career.

Killian Guillou are a formidable doubles tandem for the Mustangs, winning 10 of their final 12 matches at No. 2 doubles to finish the season with a 14-8 record.
Angel Palacios was the last MSU student athlete to be named the ITA Player to Watch in the region in 2019, and Kacper Boborykin won the award for the Mustangs in 2014.
Oliveira joins Daniel Hangstefer and Luke Joyce as members of the Midwestern State staff to receive the regional ITA Assistant Coach of the Year award. Hangstefer was recognized for his contributions in 2013, and Joyce won the award one year later.
Oliveira helped lead the Mustangs to an LSC regular season title with a 7-1 record and the LSC Men's Tennis Championship final. He also assisted head coach 
Scott Linn in guiding the team to its 21st overall NCAA Tournament appearance and 11th consecutive postseason berth with a 14-10 overall record.
