SAN ANGELO, Texas -- Midwestern State topped the 40-point threshold for the second consecutive year on the way to finishing seventh in the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships Saturday at LeGrande Stadium.

The Mustangs also combined for a pair of school records and 12 personal best marks during the three-day meet.

Daiza Jones, Trell'Kyrah Watkins, Nidhi Singh, and Jessie Heath took a full second off their previous program-best mark to finish fourth in a very fast heat in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:45.47.

Angelo State set a meet record with a time of 3:38.36, which is the fourth fastest time in NCAA Division II this season, while UT Tyler (3:43.95) and Lubbock Christian (3:44.62) placed second and third, respectively.

Junior Delaini Hanna improved her school pole vault record to 11 feet, 1 1/2 inches on Friday to finish seventh in the event.

Freshman Jaycee Lyons continued the PR train by placing sixth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:42.75, while Nathalia Escontrias also improved her personal best mark, finishing seventh in 4:43.55.

Escontrias improved her best 1,500-meter time twice at the meet, including a nearly four-second jump from the Thursday's preliminaries. She also utilized the 800-meter prelims to improve her best time to 2:15.94 to advance to Saturday's final.

She was edged by teammate Jadyn Dangerfield, who finished fourth in the 800-meter final with a time of 2:16.49. Escontrias was one spot back to take fifth with a time of 2:16.90.

Junior Nidhi Singh placed fourth in the finals for the 400-meter hurdles, clocking a 1:02.50.
