WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State got a pair of goals from Nyxalee Munoz in a 3-1 win against St. Mary's at Stang Park in the quarterfinals of the Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Championship on Tuesday night. Midwestern State (11-3-5) advances to the semifinals of the conference tournament for the third straight season and faces top-seeded Angelo State at LeGrand Soccer Complex in San Angelo, Texas, on Friday at 5 p.m.

Midwestern State broke the scoreless tie when Munoz scored her seventh goal of the season in the 34th minute, assisted by Lexi Beck. Beck extended her school record for career assists with her 27th at MSU and her ninth of the season.
The Mustangs tacked on another score on a goal from Lillia Besedin -- her fourth goal of the season -- in the 60th minute.
