Rambelles slow down Mustangs in 2-0 semifinal victory

SAN ANGELO, Texas -- Midwestern State lost to No. 1-seeded Angelo State 2-0 in the semifinals of the Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Championship at LeGrand Soccer Complex on Friday night. .

Midwestern State, the No. 4-seed in the tournament, is 11-4-5 after the loss. 

How it Happened

Goalkeeper Allison Dellis faced 14 shots from the Rambelles and made six saves for the Mustangs. MSU totaled six shots and put two of those shots on frame.

  • Midwestern State was down to 10 players when Mable Pruter was red carded in the 59th minute. 
  • Sanai Stewart scored both goals for Angelo State.
  • Angelo State meets Dallas Baptist in final on Sunday. DBU defeated Texas Woman's in the semifinals, 2-1.
