TYLER, Texas -- Midwestern State placed three golfers in the Top 10 on the way to a fourth-place showing in the King-Alfred Invitational Tuesday at Cascades Golf Club.

Freshman Tristan Gabbard carded six birdies on the way to a 2-over 73 in the final round to claim her first Top 10 showing since winning the season opening Swan Memorial. The Fulshear native logged scores of 76 and 72 in the opening two rounds to finish with an 8-over total of 221.

Senior Beatrice Perucchini matched a season-low with even-par 71 in the final round to close out her eighth collegiate Top 10 finish. The Varese, Italy, native logged four birdies including three on the Back Nine to move into a tie for ninth with an 11-over 224 after carding scores of 77 and 76 on Monday.

Sophomore Hollie James enjoyed a stellar run through the opening 36 holes which included an ace on the par-3, 140-yard 14th Hole to tie for ninth, as well. The Rockwall native recorded scores of 74, 71, and 79 competing as an individual medalist only.

Midwestern State improved as a team in each round following an opening round 311 (+25) with tallies of 296 (+12), and 294 (+10) to finish fourth behind Angelo State (888/+36), St. Mary's (888/+36), and UT Tyler (895/+43).

The Rambelles earned the team title winning a tiebreaker based on lower drop scores.

MSU freshman Kodi Nolen logged scores of 79, 74, and 75 for a 15-over total of 228 to tie for 17th just ahead of teammate Makenna Henry, who marked scores of 79, 75, and 75 to tie for 19th with a 16-over total of 229.

Sophomore Brecklyn Flanagan bounced back from an 86 in the opening round to fired scores of 75 and 79 over the final 36 holes to tie for 33rd with a 27-over total of 240.

Freshman Alli Reily saved her best round for last with a 3-over 74 after firing scores of 77 and 81 on Monday to move into a tie for 22nd with a 19-over total of 232.

Angelo State senior Maria Sierra Sanz claimed individual medalist honors carding scores of 72, 72, and 70 for a 1-over 214 to win by three strokes over St. Mary's senior Jordyn Wray (74-76-67).

Midwestern State returns to action on April 3-4 at the West Texas A&M Desert Invitational at the Ventana Country Club in Tucson, Arizona.
