WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Sophomore Makenna Henry fired a team-low 76 in the second round to help the Mustangs to a fifth place through the first two rounds of the Midwestern State Invitational Monday afternoon at the Wichita Falls Country Club.

Henry (79-76) and freshman Tristan Gabbard (78-77) are tied for 13th through the first 36 holes with matching 11-over totals of 155.

Midwestern State battled through brisk and windy playing conditions on the first day of spring break. Stiff winds out of the east made play difficult as the Mustangs logged scores of 322 and 310 for a 56-over total of 632.

No. 2-ranked Dallas Baptist topped the team leader board with a two-round, 21-over total of 597 to take a 15-stroke lead over Texas A&M International (612/+36) into Tuesday's final round.

The Dustdevils are trailed by Angelo State (613/+37), Oklahoma Christian (617/+41), and MSU.

Sophomore Brecklyn Flanagan (81-77) worked into a tie for 22nd with a 14-over total of 158.

Senior Beatrice Perucchini (84-80) is tied for 35th with a 20-over 164, while junior Madison  Brown (87-84) is tied for 47th with a 27-over 171.

Freshman Kodi Nolen (77-81) and sophomore Hollie James (82-78) turned in solid efforts while competing as individual medalists only standing tied for 22nd and 27th, respectively.

DBU junior Olivia Mitchell tops the individual leader board firing scores of 74 and 72 for a 2-over 146 holding a two-stroke lead over Angelo State's Maria Sierra Sanz (77-71).

The final round of the Midwestern State Invitational begins with a shotgun start Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
