DUNCAN, Okla. -- Midwestern State's Seth Bearden recorded a pair of par-or-better scores to lead the Mustangs through the opening two rounds of The Hrnciar Invitational Monday at The Territory Golf Club.

The sophomore from Crowell, Texas, combined to card eight birdies while delivering an even-par 72 in the opening round before firing a 3-under 69.

Bearden's 3-under total of 141 has him tied for 13th heading into Tuesday's final round which begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

Mississippi College junior Ethan Korock tops the individual leader board after carding scores of 68 and 67 for a 9-under 135 to hold a slim lead over Dallas Baptist's Brecken Franklin (68-68 136/-8) and UT Tyler's Seth Campbell (73-64 137/-7).

MSU junior Gatlin Goad recorded consecutive 73s to tie for 24th with a 2-over total of 146, while senior J.T. Boyd road a hot stretch to a 3-under 69 in the opening round before battling to a 9-over 81 in the second round. He finished the day tied for 47th with a 6-over total of 150.

Boyd's streak included a birdie on the par-4 14th Hole followed by an eagle on the par-5, 15th Hole before he finished off with birdies on the next two holes to 5-under through a four-hole run.

Seniors Keaton Dickens (76-75 151/+7) and James Perry (81-71 152/+8) tied for 51st and 58th place, respectively.

The Mustangs stand sixth through the the first 36 holes with team totals of 290 and 288 for a 2-over 578. MSU trails UT Tyler (554/-22), Oklahoma Christian (569/-7), Dallas Baptist (574/-2), St. Mary's (576/E), and West Texas A&M (577/+1).

Seniors Robert Garcia (75-73) and Kevin Yang (76-72) paced MSU's second squad with 4-over total of 148 to tie for 34th place, while redshirt-freshman Hank Germany fired consecutive 75s to tie for 57th with a 6-over 150.

Ethan Dean (76-75/+7) and Trevor Walsh (83-78/+17) placed 51st and 75th, respectively.
