WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State is No. 10 in the NCAA Division II South Central Region rankings released on Friday.
Colorado Mesa is No. 1 in the region followed by four members of the Lone Star Conference. St. Mary's (Texas) is ranked No. 2 with Dallas Baptist No. 3, West Texas A&M is No. 4, and UT Permian Basin is No. 5.
UT Tyler is ranked seventh and Cameron is No. 8.
Midwestern State won the Rattler Invitational hosted by St. Mary's last month and finished eighth at the Oak Tree Invitational in a field of 18 teams. The Mustangs finished 15th in the 18-team field at the Midwestern State Invitational earlier this week at Wichita Falls Country Club.
The Mustangs will tee it up again at the Palm Valley Classic in Goodyear, Arizona, on April 6 and 7.
